Who can submit to the journal?

We currently accept submissions from the entire Loyola Marymount University undergraduate and graduate community. We are also proud to announce that we are now accepting submissions from all AJCU Honors Programs. 

What can i submit to the journal?

Attic Salt is an interdisciplinary journal which accepts submissions from a wide variety of mediums. Past publications have included: 

• Essays

• Original research

• Creative writing

• Poetry

We are always looking to diversify our journal, so submissions are not limited to those types listed above. If you have a question about whether your submission is an acceptable form of work, please email atticsalt@lmu.edu

How Does the Attic Salt team select who gets published in the journal?

Every staff member participates in judging submissions and choosing the content that will ultimately be in the journal. Work is reviewed blindly (without knowledge of who the author/creator is) by staff members. We then work closely with our contributors to prepare the work for publication. This collaborative process ensures that the journal is a product of the contributors as well as the staff.
